Hello, I’m Sid from Mauritius. I work in the Data domain for a local bank. My career began in 2015 as a traditional VB.NET programmer, but over time, driven by a mix of curiosity and the desire for change, I transitioned into the world of data. Along the way, I’ve explored and embraced a wide range of technologies and concepts, including ETL, Business Intelligence, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and machine learning, among others.

Having gained experience across various companies, including major international organizations, I’ve come to understand—often through challenging lessons—that while technical expertise is valuable, true success comes from actively engaging with the business side of the organization. This requires embracing a continuous, and sometimes exhausting, journey of learning and growth. However, this ongoing effort ultimately leads to greater competence and a more well-rounded skill set.

Hence, my goal through this blog is to document my journey of learning and Development and help share the knowledge. Who knows, while sharing I might be able to learn more…
